While the fireworks are going off, these facts will blow your friends away! 😮

  • Between August 2011 and July 2012, a staggering 95,000 barrels (or 2,000 tons) of maple syrup were stolen, amounting to an incredible $18.7 million theft. This infamous heist is one of the largest in Canadian history. (Source)

2. It's not the Canadian Goose, but the Beaver, that is our National Animal

3. Do you know the Coldest Recorded Temperature in Canada?! 🥶

  • The coldest temperature ever recorded in Canada is a bone-chilling -63°C. This frigid record wasn't set in Calgary but in the Yukon back in 1967. (Source)
