Laughter is the best medicine and I believe it! A night out at the comedy club always makes me so happy. I've seen comedians that made me laugh until tears streamed down my face. Great for a fun cheap night out.
Cakeify is a really cute bakery studio where us regular folks with no baking experience can bake delicious treats! Make a cake, cookies or cupcakes. You can do it as a night out with the girls or as a fun family activity (there are events for both!).
The National Music Centre is not only educational but it also has beautiful architecture. Many of the exhibits in the museum are interactive and fun. This place is great for kids and adults.
I'm sure you've been to Telus Spark Science Centre before but have you been lately? They are always changing it up and adding new fun interactive elements. Most recently they added a Digital Immersion Gallery and a VR play area. I recommend going on one of their monthly Adults Only Nights as a fun date night.
I haven't been to Simtopia but it looks really unique! They have indoor ski and golf simulators and serve food and drinks.
Have you tried axe throwing before? It's a unique way to spend an afternoon. It's exactly like it sounds, you throw various sized axes at a target board and see how well you can do. They also serve alcohol.
Calgary has multiple escape rooms. I've only tried a few but I've always enjoyed them as something challenging and interactive.
The Flying Squirrel is an indoor trampoline park which I'm dying to try! It looks so fun! Okay, so this is mostly for kids, but adults can do it too.

I was skeptical about the Pedal Pub because it is pricy and what's so great about drinking on a giant bicycle? Well, I was wrong, it is SO fun. I love the pedal pub, I've been twice, and both times I power-drank a LOT of beer. This is not for the faint of heart!

I did this with my friends last year and it was so fun! I think it was around $12-$15 for a ticket. You take a giant treadmill (there's probably a name for it) up the hill and plunk yourself down on a lane and a staff member gives you a shove. It's exhilarating but not scary, this is probably fine for kids.
