For drinking not-at-a-bar

Something easy to carry to a party

Are you headed to a party and need a couple o' liquor store recommendations? I like to mix it up but these are some of my choices. (None of these are affiliate links, I'm just telling yah what I think is good!)

Blackfly Grapefruit Gin Fizz cans are soooo good. I was amazed by this drink because I don't even like gin. But the sourness of the grapefruit really cuts that juniper taste that ruins a lot of gin beverages for me. Plus these are not syrupy sweet coolers. They are very drinkable.

Railyard Peach Sour beer is another fave.  You might have to like sour beers to be on board with this one, but that said it isn't a crazy amount of sour. It is really delicious, usually I can only have one sour beer before it gets to be too much of the same flavour. Not so with the Railyard Peach. Also, it won Bronze in the Canadian International Beer awards fruit category.

Social Lite Vodka soda cans are easy and good if you're going to be at a party for a while. If I drink a ton of sugary drinks I'm going to feel double the hangover the next morning so these are REALLY good for hangover reduction. The taste is very light and refreshing, the ginger lime is my go-to, but I've also had the ice tea one and seem to remember it was pretty good.

Fallentimber Meadjito is amazing. They have other really good flavours as well but the Meadjito is outstanding! They used to be pretty expensive, like $12 a bottle but I've seen them cheaper lately for about $9.

Lolea No 1 Red Sangria is so tasty in the summer time. It is on the sweeter side because it is a sangria but it's not too sweet and I always drink it in a giant wine glass with lots of ice to slightly water it down.  I find a whole bottle goes fast this way. Oops. No regrets. Delish.

Something tasty to relax with at home

Simple and tasty cocktails that don't require a lot of ingredients.  This is perfect for when you want something more than a vodka soda, but don't actually want to do any work, I gotchu!
