Fans of "The Shining" will love this restaurant on Stephen Ave. Pay attention to the décor similar to The Overlook hotel and the cocktail menu with drinks inspired by movie characters.

Would you dine in complete darkness? No light is allowed in the dining room (not even your phones!) as you feel your way through drinks, a main, and dessert!

I don't know if stuffed burgers qualifies as a 'theme" but this restaurant is quirky and different. Choose from their stuffed burgers options or make your own.

Welcome back to the '50's! This photogenic diner is known for it's breakfast fare and specifically its pancake art!  They also serve milkshakes and alcohol. 

This Moroccan restaurant downtown is a little oasis from the city. Try some flavourful dishes and enjoy the colorful atmosphere. 

A very niche theme to be sure, this brewery is '88 Olympics themed (which were held in Calgary for my younger readers :D).  Expect a lot of bright pink decor and Olympic memorabilia.

Okay, technically this is not in Calgary but in Okotoks but it's so unique I had to include it on this list!  This whole café is decorated in 2D similar to a black and white comic book. Very instagrammable!
